Amazon refutes claims that the Lord of the Rings set was subjected to unsafe stunts

Amazon has denied claims that unsafe stunt circumstances existed on the set of the next Lord of the Rings series. The Lord of the Rings, written by J. R. R. Tolkien, was first published in 1954 and has since become one of the most popular works in history.

Peter Jackson adapted the beloved fantasy series into a film trilogy, which was followed by another three-picture adaptation of Tolkien’s The Hobbit. Amazon revealed some years ago that their planned Lord of the Rings television series would be a new adaptation of the original epic.

The show has been kept under wraps for a long time, but that hasn’t stopped it from being analyzed. Lord of the Rings will be one of the most costly series of all time, with a $465 million budget from Amazon. The show’s scope is said to be huge and include substantial stunt work, which is in line with its budget.

On the set of the show, two stuntwomen, Elissa Cadwell and Dayna Grant, have been hurt so far. Cadwell suffered a “severe injury” and Grant had a concussion, prompting safety concerns.

Amazon has replied to and rejected reports of unsafe stunt circumstances on the Lord of the Rings production, according to The Wrap. The claims surfaced when four on-set sources alleged Amazon had failed to submit major injury incidences to WorkSafe. Amazon responded with a statement stressing their commitment to the health and safety of their actors and crew.
