Ali Abbas Zaffar on Katrina Kaif starrer superhero film: It’ll be a full-on female action film
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is going to play the leading lady in Ali Abbas Zafar’s film based on a female superhero!
Superhero films have been in the making since decades. In the Indian entertainment industry too, we have had superheroes like Krrish and Shaktimaan. However, we still didn’t have a female superhero. Now Katrina Kaif is going to be the Indian version of Wonder Woman as she is teaming up with Ali Abbas Zafar.
The two of them will be working on a super hero film with Kat as the lead. “Katrina has been urging Ali to develop his super-hero film with her in the lead, as no one had done a female super-hero film before,” says a source.
Bollywood Hungama has quoted Ali Abbas Zafar saying, “It will be a full-on female action film. We’ve not seen that in Hindi cinema so far.”
The team is keeping the details under wrap. But the reports suggest that the action sequences in the film are going to be directed by an international team.
“The idea is to do a high-end super-hero film. Or not do it at all,” says Ali.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Katrina Kaif is a part of the cop drama Sooryavanshi. Starring Akshay Kumar as the male lead, the film had to release in the theatres on March 24th, this year. However, owing to the current lockdown, the release has now been pushed to an indefinite time.
