
Aditya Roy Kapur no more a part of Ek Villain sequel
Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur was supposed to star in Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain sequel, but he has now opted out of the project!
Ek Villain was a huge hit and its sequel has been in the making since then. The makers had even finalized the cast of the film. Aditya Roy Kapur, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani were going to be a part of the film.
But the latest reports suggest Aditya has walked out of the project. A source told Mumbai Mirror “Adi was to sport multiple looks and had started working on his physique during the lockdown. But over the last month, there have been several creative disagreements between Mohit and him, following which they decided to part ways. The two used to be good friends once, but this has definitely affected the equation.”
The source added on saying, “There are several confrontations between the two villains. Mohit, Ekta Kapoor and other producers are looking to cast a young actor with the personality to carry off shades of grey. He will be locked in a fortnight’s time.”
Aditya and Mohit had earlier worked together in projects like Aashiqui 2 and Malang. Do Villain was going to be their third collaboration. Talking about the film Ek Villain, it was released in 2014 featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh. The film was a huge success at the box office.
Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur is going to be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s film Sadak 2. Starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt as well, the film is all set to release on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor is also a part of Anurag Basu’s film Ludo. Stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi also play a pivotal role in the film.
Aditya’s last film was Malang along with Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor which released this year.
