According to Tom Hiddleston, Loki will be looking for Sylvie in Season 2

Loki, according to Tom Hiddleston, will be looking for Sylvie in season 2. Marvel Studios’ third series, which premiered on Disney+ in June, was able to bring back a variant of Hiddleston’s Loki after his death in Avengers: Infinity War thanks to Avengers: Endgame’s time travel plot.

Loki season 1 chronicled the titular trickster’s run-in with the Time Variance Authority, the organisation tasked with maintaining the proper flow of time, and introduced its various faces, Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Judge Renslayer, after his Tesseract-enabled escape (Gugu Mbatha-Raw).

Over the course of its six-episode run, the series introduced several more Loki variants, including a Classic Loki played by Richard E. Grant, but it was Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) with whom he developed a deep connection.

Loki and Sylvie arrive at the Citadel at the End of Time and meet He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), a variant of Kang the Conqueror and the true overseer of the TVA, in the season 1 finale. When faced with a decision, Sylvie chooses to send Loki back to TVA headquarters and kill Kang, thereby seemingly releasing the multiverse. Loki discovers that nothing is the same as it used to be at the HQ.

Loki Is Searching For Sylvie

Loki was the first MCU series to be renewed for a second season, following WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Loki’s return confirmed in a mid-credits scene during the season 1 finale. Naturally, fans are wondering where the sophomore season will go next, and Tom Hiddleston has one of the first substantial plot hints for season 2.

In an interview with Empire Magazine (via LRM Online), Hiddleston revealed that Loki will not only be looking for Sylvie, but he also feels responsible for what happened.

Given that the finale only aired in mid-July, it seems premature to be teasing next season’s plot, but Hiddleston previously revealed that they are already in deep discussion about season 2, which will most likely include a basic outline of the plot.

The God of Mischief will reportedly appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness next, but it appears he will continue looking for Sylvie well into Loki’s second season, and they will likely reunite in due time.
