Aberystwyth sets Guinness World Record of Longest Human Archway Relay

The Aberystwyth community joined hands today on Saint David’s Day in attempts to set a new world record. Young Environment Scientist and Social Activist, Naveed Arshad and other people achieved the Guinness World Record title for the Longest Human Archway Relay. Guinness World Records and S4C worked in partnership to complete record attempts across Wales on St David’s Day, 1 March, to “celebrate Wales and its strong community”. Orchard Media and Events organised the event in Aberystwyth. Event by exclusively covered by Clout News. People joined hands to create an archway as two people at a time walked under the archway.

Officials from Guinness World Records officially announced the success of attempt. In total, 164 pairs joined hands to create the world’s longest human arch relay and break record of 150 pairs. Naveed shared his memories of historical event and declared as one of the biggest achievement of his life.
