Actress Swara Bhasker drives 1,400 kms to meet her injured mother in Delhi

Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker reached Delhi to meet her mother after a two days journey from Mumbai by road!

Actress Swara Bhasker’s mother injured herself last week and the first thing she wanted to do was go meet her. However, she waited to get the permission from the officials and then travelled to another city.

Lockdown 4.0 has certain relaxations on the travel restrictions. Hence, Swara was able to reach Delhi after she travelled 1,400 kilometres by road. She drove from Mumbai and had an overnight halt in Udaipur.

She said, “I was very concerned when I learnt about my mother’s fall and the fracture to the right arm. My first impulse was to rush to Delhi to look after her. But that was not possible due to the lockdown. So as soon as the process opened up, I applied for permission and travelled by road from Mumbai to Delhi.”

Talking about her travel experience, she said, “It was a very long journey, two days by road with an overnight halt. I’m very grateful to have been allowed to travel. I’m happy that I’m now with my mom.and can help her comb her hair and change clothes.”

It was recently when the actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui too had travelled to his hometown Budhana in Uttar Pradesh to see his ailing mother.
