Jason Sudeikis was nervous about the early cuts of Ted Lasso Season 2

Early edits of Ted Lasso’s second season made Jason Sudeikis apprehensive, he reveals. Ted Lasso is a comedy series about an upbeat American college football coach who comes to the United Kingdom to coach AFC Richmond of the English Premier League.

Lasso has had success as an American football coach, but he does not have a basic understanding of soccer. Sudeikis co-stars with Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Nick Mohammed, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, and Juno Temple in the series.

Sudeikis originally appeared as Ted Lasso in NBC Sports ads promoting the Premier League in the United States. Olivia Wilde, an actress and director, encouraged Sudeikis to explore the role further in a show or film. Sudeikis heeded Wilde’s advice and created the show for Apple TV+ with Hunt, Bill Lawrence, and Joe Kelly, which has proven to be a hit. Sudeikis has already won a Golden Globe for his role as Ted Lasso, and the show is up for a record-setting 20 Primetime Emmy nominations. Ted Lasso has surpassed Glee as the most Emmy nominations for a rookie comedy.

Ted Lasso Season 2

According to TheWrap, despite the success of Ted Lasso’s first season, Sudeikis was still nervous to see early versions of season 2. The second season of Ted Lasso was supposed to start filming in November or December 2020, however it didn’t start until January 2021. Sudeikis’ nerves were strained as a result of the hold-up.

While Ted Lasso fans will have to wait a little longer to see the aforementioned moment and the rest of the new season, early reviews have been released, and they are very positive, just like the coach himself. Season 2 appears to be bringing the same amount of joy and comedy as season 1. Hopefully, this means that Sudeikis’ concerns about Ted Lasso’s sophomore season are no longer valid.
