Hollywood takes a hit as a majority of Hollywood releases have been pushed to later months, causing a huge dent in this years summer releases.

Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ fans are in dismay as the solo Avengers film has been delayed. Due to the pandemic, ‘Black Widow’ which was supposed to be released on May 1st has been pushed. The film will now release on November 6th.

Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun: Maverick” is now set for Christmas time. Apart from this, Christopher Nolan’s thriller “Tenet” will release on July 17 as planned. Followed by Disney’s Mulan. “Wonder Woman 1984” will now release on August 14, two months later than planned.

Some Hollywood films abandoned 2020 entirely, including the “Fast and Furious” movie. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s adventure “Jungle Cruise,” and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife, are all pushed to 2021.

The nation’s largest movie theater chain, AMC, which operates over 630 theaters in the U.S., said in a statement that in order to reopen they “need a line of sight into a regular schedule of new theatrical blockbusters that get people truly excited.”

AMC said it would open in the weeks ahead of blockbusters like “Tenet” and “Mulan” using “creative programming” of previously released films.
