After donating Rs 25 Cr to PM-CARES fund, Akshay Kumar donates Rs 3 Cr to BMC!

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had earlier contributed Rs 25 crore in PM Narendra Modi’s relief fund!

After the country went under a lockdown, many celebs came out in support of those who are suffering in this situation of crisis. One of the first Bollywood actors to come out in the support was Akshay Kumar.

He had earlier contributed Rs 25 crore in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s relief fund – PM-CARES. Now the actor has donated Rs 3 crore to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Trade analyst Taran Aadarsh informed about his noble deed as he tweeted, “#Update: After contributing Rs 25 cr to #PMCares, #AkshayKumar contributes Rs 3 cr to #BMC to assist in the making of PPEs, masks and rapid testing kits… #COVID19Pandemic #CoronaVirus #Covid_19 #COVID19.”

It was a few days back when Akshay had produced a motivational video ‘Muskurayega India’ which went viral on social media. Even the Prime Minister had appreciated the message.

Talking about the virus, it has claimed more than 90,000 lives around the world. Some of the badly affected countries include USA, Spain, Italy, China and Iran. Several countries across the world are under a lockdown and are still struggling to combat the virus.
