
Bhawna Munjal Gets Candid About Her Journey From Being A Journalist To An Actress
The country is in lockdown but with the internet, thus we all have time for a binge-watch. Indeed a great time for all those artists who are part of OTT and Youtube videos, one such artist who is getting a lot of recognition is Journalist turned actress Bhawna Munjal.
Bhawna is part of Voot’s much applauded latest web series Asur, directed by Oni sen, stars Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti in lead.
Bhawna Munjal plays a pivotal part in the crime thriller and feels ecstatic about her big break and debut on the digital platform. Talking about her experience of working in ‘Asur’, she said, “First is always special, it was a great opportunity to be part of such an acclaimed series. Web series are a great way to show ur craft and I am happy the kind of response this series and my work has received.”
From interviewing celebrities to giving interviews Bhawna has come a long way in a short span of time, after quitting TV journalism last year Bhawna started with Theatre and performed at Prithvi House for director Kiran Pavaskar in the play based on India Pakistan partition called Posheeda.
Soon after that, she was seen in a short film titled ‘Mishti Doi’.This 15 minutes sweet and emotional movie about caring for the parents was also well received. Bhawna played the role of Kavita, who is a bridge between her husband and father in law.
