Kangana Ranaut Gains 20 Kgs For Upcoming Movie Thalaivi

Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut is presently working on a new biopic. The ambitious project ‘Thalaivi’ is another one of the challenges Kangana is taking head-on.

The actress gained 20 kgs for her role portraying Jayalalithaa as one of the most loved politicians in the South. The biopic on the former chief minister is the second biopic in Kangana’s career. The 32-year-old has already performed a challenging role in Rani Lakshmi Bai in Manikarnika.

On top, Ranaut is a hard-working actress, who digs in the role of her character. The actress realized the importance of learning Tamil to connect with the character and the audience, and went ahead despite facing difficulties learning it. She is took classes for Bharatnatyam.

In a press conference, Kangana shared her experience learning the language and said “I am finding it difficult to learn Tamil. This film will be released in Hindi and Tamil, so we will do something about it. Obviously, I have to mug up those dialogues because Tamil is not an easy language. Earlier, I was trying to learn the complete Tamil language because I have learned English as well, but now I am learning Tamil as per the demand of film’s script”.

Rangoli Chandan sister, as well as Kangana’s Manager, tweeted a picture of the actress comparing her look to ‘Jaya Amma’.

However, the film is hitting the theaters this year in June. Kangana is already sweating hard for her upcoming projects ‘Tejas’ & Dhaakad’. Recently, team Kangana shared a video. In the video, the actress is with her Gym trainer promising her fans to lose 20 kgs in 2 months.
