Randeep Hooda, Rajkummar Rao, And Ayushmann Khurrana Are Top Lead Role Candidates For Veer Savarkar’s Biopic

On Veer Savarkar’s 138th birthday, a biopic was announced to him.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, sources now indicate that its makers have three actors as their top pick – Ayushmann Khurrana, Randeep Hooda and Rajkummar Rao – in the lead role of Verer Savarkar.

Why Only Them?

Insiders in the industry say the three actors are targeted primarily for the major physical changes they can make in their movies.

Commercial experts believe that to make a biopic in a person like Veer Savarkar as realistic as possible, the crème de la crème of the industry needs to come into play.

Commenting on this, a well-known commercial source was quoted as saying, “All three are talented actors and prepare for their roles with full dedication. For his role in the film ‘Sarbjit’, Randeep Hooda lost 18 kg in just 20 days. While Rajkummar Rao in ‘Trapped’ and Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Badhaai Ho’ (also Bala and Dream Girl) showed a different body transformation of their roles and dedication to art.”
