This year the iHeartRadio Music Awards featured some big performances and even bigger winners. The most celebrated names in music had come together for the star-studded event on Thursday. And few of them walked away from the coveted trophies.

Megan Thee Stallion led the pack with a total of eight nominations across seven different categories. Roddy Rich came in next with seven nominations which included three separate nominations in the Hip-Hop Song of the Year categories alone.

The Weeknd was also recognized with six nominations after his big win at the Bilboard Awards on Sunday. This included the categories of Song of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. Even Harry Styles was nominated for six awards and he went up against The Weeknd.

Elton John was set out to receive 2021 iHeartRadio Icon Award, which will be presented by Chris Martin and Lil Nas X. The awards included a special tribute performance for him as well. It was because of his influence in the music industry and his continued relevance as a touring and radio force with a loyal fan base worldwide.
