#InThisTogether: Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli Begin Fundraiser For India’s COVID Fight

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli took to their social media handles as they announced their initiative for a fundraiser for India’s fight against COVID-19.

The couple shared a video on Instagram as they shared the news with their fans and followers. They shared that it hurts them to see their country suffer as they expressed their gratitude to the healthcare workers. The duo have asked people to come forward to donate during this crisis.

Anushka wrote that her country is battling the second wave of COVID-19 and the healthcare systems are facing extemely difficult challenges. She shared how it breaks her heart to see her people suffer because of which her and her husband cricketer, Virat have initiated the campaign. The actress wrote,  ”As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.”

She also provides a bit of hope to her fans as she says that we will overcome this crisis togethe. The producer added as she urged fans to step forward to support India and Indians. She concluded, “Your contribution will help in saving lives during this critical time.”

The couple have been encouraging people to stay home and stay safe. Even this post comes days after the actress took to Instagram to urge people to unite and support each other. That is when she revealed that her and Virat and plans to help India fight COVID-19 as she urged eveyone to help. The post came after her birthday as she thanked fans for all the wishes.

Hollywood & Bollywood Celebrities Contribute To India

She wrote, “Hi guys, I hope you all are safe. I just want to say a ‘Big Thank You’ for all the lovely birthday wishes. It truly made my day special. But in the midst of all this pain and suffering, it just did not feel right to celebrate my birthday. But I have seen your special messages to me and now I have an important message for you. I would like to appeal to everyone, to unite and support our country in this hour of crisis.”

Many other Indian celebrities have also come forward to help the country amid their worst crisis. The list includes Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Priyanka Chopra, and Sushmita Sen among others. Not just them, but celebrities from Hollywood have also lent their helping hand as they raise money for India together.
