At the New York City International Film Festival, Anupam Kher wins best actor
For the short film Happy Birthday, actor Anupam Kher won the Best Actor award at the New York City International Film Festival. Happy Birthday, which was one of the most awaited short films of the year, starring actor Anupam and Aahana Kumra and directed by Prasad Kadam and produced by FNP Media, also won the Best Short Film award at the film festival.
“Thank you New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF) for this great honour,” Anupam said of the award. It’s an honour to be named Best Actor at such a prestigious film festival. Thanks to director Prasad Kumra, the credit goes to the entire young team of ‘Happy Birthday’ and my co-actor Aahana Kumra.
He went on to say, “Prasad is also a gifted director who has been nominated for best director! He is an expert in his field and has a bright future ahead of him. He has accomplished great things and will continue to do so. I’m also looking forward to sharing this honour with the rest of the Happy Birthday squad.”
“This has been a shocking development for everyone at FNP Media. Winning two awards at a prestigious film festival is a significant accomplishment. This is due to the combined efforts of the entire team behind the film, and the film rightfully received the award. I’m excited to be a part of this, and we expect to produce more and better films in the future. Congratulations to all of the participants.” FNP Media’s Content Head, Ahmad Faraz, said.
Anupam and Aahana collaborated for the second time on Happy Birthday, following their appearance in the 2019 film The Accidental Prime Minister.
Anupam has many other projects in the works, including The Last Show, Mungilal Rocks, and The Kashmir Files, in addition to Happy Birthday.
