Bruce Springsteen Arrested In New Jersey On Drink And Drive Charges
Bruce Springsteen was arrested in New Jersey three months ago and charged with drunken driving and reckless driving, officials said.
The rock veteran was also cited for consuming alcohol in a closed area of a national park on the same day, 14 November.
He is expected to appear in court “in the next few weeks”, reports TMZ.
‘Cooperative Throughout’
A National Park Service spokesman said Springsteen, 71, was “cooperative throughout the process”.
The Gateway National Recreation Area is a park that connects Sandy Hook, a New Jersey beach line just south of New York City, with part of the oceanfront section of New York’s Staten Island and Jamaica Bay.

Springsteen, often referred to as “The Boss”, has worked for over 50 years, with many of his songs describing his home in the state of New Jersey.
His arrest came just weeks after the release of his 20th studio album, “Letter to You”.
Superbowl Jeep Ad
Springsteen also appeared recently in a Jeep ad played during the Super Bowl, an annual American football tournament. In this video, titled “The Middle”, he spoke about reuniting a divided US.
This video appears to have been removed from Jeep’s YouTube page.
Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl LV Jeep commercial was yanked from YouTube on Wednesday after the rock legend’s DWI (driving while intoxicated) bust came to light.
The clip for “The Middle ft Bruce Springsteen” on Jeep’s YouTube page now reads: “Video unavailable. This video is private.”
The commercial wasn’t on Jeep’s Twitter on Wednesday, either. However, it was still available on Springsteen’s Instagram account.
The Born To Run icon appeared in and narrated the spot, which aired during Sunday’s game.
It was revealed days later that Springsteen, 71, was arrested on November 14 at a national park in his home state of New Jersey and charged with DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.
