Gujarat’s Vishal Parekh Popularly Known As Vishal DOP Sheds Light On His Roller-Coaster Journey Of Becoming An Actor

The most difficult genre for any artist is comedy. It requires a perfect comic timing by which an actor can tickle the funny bone of the audience. Vishal Parekh, popularly known as Vishal DOP on social media is an expert when it comes to making people laugh, thanks to his spontaneous comic timing. He hails from Ahmedabad, Gujarat and currently, he is pursuing Bachelor of Commerce there. Simultaneously, he is also creating comedy videos which he very often posts on his social media. It has been his dream to become an actor since his childhood. He began his career by getting trained as a professional dancer for 4 years after which he worked as a junior artist in a lot of drama plays and skits.

With having no access to expensive DSLRs, he shot comedy videos on his phone. It was his friend who suggested him to shoot videos and post it on social media. “To be honest, I did not know how to use Facebook and Instagram when I got to know about it. It was my friend who created an account and taught me about it”, he said. Vishal’s life took an unexpected turn when he became severely ill after his 10th board exams. He had been advised bed rest for a year. The gap of a year lowered his confidence but the 20-year old guy came back stronger and after getting fully recovered, he started creating videos on Instagram and also posted the original content on TikTok which gave him immense popularity across Gujarat.

People started recognising him and his comedy video content clicked with everyone. “I got a request from a lot of people to create comedy videos in Hindi but I was stuck to creating Gujarati videos. I feel proud that I am representing my language on various social media platforms and entertaining people with it”, he stated. One of the biggest highlights of his career is that playback singer Osman Mir approached him to feature in a song composed by his son Aamir Mir. The song titled ‘The Chocolaty Song’ featured Vishal and it was a hit. On the work front, Vishal Parekh is in talks for a music video and he also plans to start his own YouTube channel soon.
