Extended Geralt vs. Monster Fight in The Witcher Season 2 Video
Fans may get a closer look at a fight between Geralt and a monster known as a myriapod in a marketing trailer for The Witcher season 2.
Netflix’s wildly popular fantasy series, based on the writings of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, follows titular mutant Geralt (Henry Cavill) as he wanders the Continent, slaying dangerous monsters for money. Geralt’s path crossed with the magician Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and his Child of Surprise Ciri in Season 1. (Freya Allan).
Season 2 will adapt Blood of Elves, which was adapted from several of the short stories in Sapkowski’s The Last Wish in the first season.
Geralt vs. Monster Fight
Geralt and Ciri will journey to Kaer Morhen, the old citadel where Geralt, and now Ciri, is trained by the School of the Wolf, to come to grips with their shared fate. The casting of Geralt’s tutor Vesemir (Kim Bodnia), fellow witcher Lambert (Paul Bullion), and the elven sorceress Francesca Findabair have been the most significant for the second season (Mecia Simson).
Outside of Kaer Morhen, Nilfgaardian soldiers are holding Yennefer (who Geralt believes is dead) hostage while pursuing Ciri through the terrible magician Rience (Chris Fulton). However, Geralt’s vocation, as well as the series’ quasi-monster-of-the-week pattern, need him to be on the hunt.
The official Twitter account for The Witcher just published a trailer from season 2 reminding fans that the Continent’s biggest threat is the monsters that plague it. The video shows Geralt using a Quen sign as a shield and a magical sword against a new creature known as the Myriapod.
Take a look at the following:
Giant centipede-like organisms are known as myriapods. They initially appeared in Sapkowski’s Sword of Destiny, which is published before The Last Wish.
Geralt and a dryad named Braenn meet Ciri (for the first time) in Brokilon Forest, where she is being attacked by a myriapod, in the short novella “Sword of Destiny.” To put it another way, the above scenario is most likely a throwback to a sequence from Sword of Destiny that didn’t make it into season 1.
