Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis Break Up After Nearly 10 Years

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have called off their engagement after dating for nearly ten years. The former couple was engaged for seven years.

According to sources, the director broke up at the beginning of the year. A source explained it has been amicable and they have transitioned into a great co-parenting routine. The source also added, “The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.”

The couple has two kids together, Otis and Daisy. The reason for the couple to go their separate ways is still unclear. Jason and Olivia have successful careers and have achieved major success especially in the past year.

Recently, Olivia began filming for the highly-anticipated upcoming movie, Don’t Worry Darling. The movie also features Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. On the other hand, Jason is busy with production as he is getting ready for the second installment of the Apple+ series Ted Lasso.

Both of their projects have faced delays because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The couple started dating each other back in 2011 after meeting at a Saturday Night Live after-party.

Jason had explained how the couple hit it off that night. Olivia was in a relationship with someone else at the time, however, she broke up, and in came Jason. He explained, “I didn’t make any moves. I was just very, very busy with other things. And next thing you know, I stopped being busy, she stopped dating someone, and then it was off to the races.”

After dating for two years, Jason popped the question to Olivia. Although they were in no rush to tie the knot, the couple welcomed their first child, Otis. Olivia had shared how she thinks they are already committed to each other without marrying. She explained, “Before you have a child, marriage is the ultimate commitment and promise to one another, and then once you have a child, it’s like, ‘Oh, we’re committed and promised already.'”

Ahead of their split, Jason gushed about his fiancé during an August appearance on Access Hollywood, revealing why he waited to kiss her.

“I just had a hunch that the second I kissed her, I wasn’t going to end up kissing ever kissing anyone ever again,” he explained. “So, it was like I had to be careful with it.”
