Harry Styles says Eternals fulfilled his goal of “wanting to be a superhero”
In a rare interview, Harry Styles discussed his experience playing Eros in Eternals. The Watermelon Sugar singer modestly revealed his experience of being in the film during a chat with Dazed, saying that his appearance isn’t as large as the other cast members.
“I’m only in right at the end,” Styles said to Dazed, but he is “grateful” to have worked on the film. “But, let’s face it, who didn’t want to be a superhero as a child? It was a fantastic experience, and I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Chloé “According to the actor who played Dunkirk in the film.
While the movie’s mid-credits scene suggests that Styles would have a larger involvement if Eternals approves a sequel, Zhao was recently asked by Deadline what drew her to choose Styles as Thanos’ brother Eros. “For me, Harry as Eros was a whole package. “I pitched Pip the Troll and Eros to Kevin [Feige] a while back,” she said, adding that she wanted to “explore” the concept “an Eternal who isn’t one of the Titans, about whom the film is already being made. She also revealed that it was Eros’ influence on Thanos that attracted her interest.
Zhao told Deadline that she has been following the Adore You singer’s acting career since she saw him in Dunkirk and that this was one of the reasons she chose him. “I understood he was that guy after meeting him,” Zhao confirmed.
Eternals Writer Blames Harry Styles
Eternals writers claim that Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) misguided acts in Avengers: Infinity War is due to Harry Styles’ Eros/Starfox.
Marvel Studios’ most recent film, directed by Chloé Zhao, introduced the MCU to a brand new superhero squad. It did, however, introduce a couple of new characters that aren’t part of the main Eternals cast, such as Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman and Styles’ Eros.
Despite his appearance as a non-powered human in Eternals, Dane would eventually become Black Knight in the MCU, according to the comics. Meanwhile, Eros’ situation is a little different. Starfox was introduced by Pip the Troll in the Eternals post-credits scene when Thena (Angelina Jolie), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), and Druig (Barry Keoghan) search for their other missing companions (voiced by Patton Oswalt).
