Ciri’s Fight Training Is Revealed In The Witcher Season 2 Poster
Ciri’s training to battle is shown in a new poster for Season 2 of The Witcher. The Witcher premiered in December 2019 as one of Netflix’s best seasons of television ever, based on the work of Andrzej Sapkowski.
Season 1 follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri of Cintra across three linked timelines (Freya Allan). Before the fall of Cintra at the hands of Nilfgaardian invaders, the latter princess becomes Geralt’s kind of surprise.
Ciri’s Fight Training
Ciri spends the first half of the season on the run from Nilfgaard until her and Geralt’s fates collide in the finale. Season 2 will adapt portions of Sapkowski’s The Last Wish, leading Geralt and Ciri to the Kaer Morhen.
The anime film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which also introduces audiences to Vesemir, may have given non-readers/gamers a look at the old fortress where Witchers of the School of the Wolf are trained. Geralt’s mentor Vesemir (Kim Bodnia) and a few other monster hunters are among the new additions to The Witcher’s season 2 cast.
A poster depicting a “destined to fight” Ciri holding a wooden blade was recently released on The Witcher’s official Twitter account. Clearly, the Ciri depicted in the poster has not only arrived in Kaeri Morhen but is also being trained by its witcher residents.
Take a look at the following:
Season 2 has been a two-year wait for fans, and the show looks to keep the promises made by its popular source material. The Witcher’s success has already sparked a live-action prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, that will delve deeper into what it means to be a Witcher.
Ciri’s journey is as important to The Witcher’s plot as Geralt and Yennefer’s, as seen by the above poster and season 1’s divided narrative. Season 2 will be much more linear, according to showrunner Lauren Hissrich, and will begin with them crossing the dangerous Witchers Trail to reach Kaer Morhen. They’ll have to battle in order to get there.
