Liam Payne claims he’s in talks with Louis Tomlinson about a One Direction reunion

Fans of One Direction have been hoping for a reunion for a long time, and were disappointed when the band failed to reunite for their tenth anniversary in 2020. After speaking with Louis Tomlinson about it, Liam Payne said in a recent interview that talks for a reunion are underway and that it may happen sooner than expected.

In an interview with The Mirror, Payne stated that he has spoken with fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson, and that the two are ready to get back together soon. “I spoke to Louis about it and we were saying it had to be sooner rather than later,” Payne remarked at Tom Parker’s charity event on Monday night, according to The Mirror.

After the group’s six-year break, all of the members focused on their individual careers, which have been a huge success. Harry Styles won a Brit Award and a Grammy for his song Watermelon Sugar after going solo with his performance. After securing a solo deal with Capitol Records, Niall Horan has released two studio albums.

Following the departure of Zayn Malik in March 2015, the remaining four members of the band, Payne, Styles, Horan, and Tomlinson, last performed together in December 2015.

While there’s no set date for a 1D reunion, the Payne and Tomlinson talk feels like a good place to start. Meanwhile, Liam recently uploaded a hilarious TikTok video of himself in which he was seen offering a comical glimpse of a hypothetical One Direction reunion following the departure of Zayn Malik.

Maya Henry and Liam Payne have officially announced their reunion on the red carpet! The One Direction star and the model restarted their affair in July, and have now appeared together at an official event, The Face’s London Fashion Week party, proving their relationship to fans.

After they were pictured leaving a party in Ibiza in August, word spread that the two of them were returning. Despite appearing arm-in-arm at the London Fashion Week celebration, an E! News source said that the two are not pressuring each other about a wedding or engagement just yet.
