Cardi B Wants ‘Amicable Divorce’ From Offset And Joint Custody Of Daughter Kulture

Cardi B hopes to have an amicable divorce from Offset and she also wants to share joint custody of Kulture. The rapper filed for divorce from husband, Offset, jus yesterday at a court in Georgia.

Cardi and Offset are separating after almost three years of marriage. The rapper’s representatives revealed a little information about the filing today to reflect Cardi’s intention of sharing joint custody. It was revealed that Cardi desires for an amicable resolution.

The update came after a day of officially filing for divorce in court. The case of Belcalis Almanzar v. Kiari Cephus, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, is set to be heard on November 4.

Both Cardi and Offset have not yet commented on their split publicly. The couple had tied the knot in a secret ceremony back in 2017. Their marriage has faced rumors of infidelity before and they have gone through their ups and downs.

Even after the rumors of Offset being unfaithful to Cardi over the recent years, the couple has tried to move past it. They have tried to work through their differences and made their marriage work. Earlier this year, Cardi opened up about her former husband’s infidelity and her decision to forgive him. However, in another interview, the rapper admitted to having a lot of drama in her relationship with him.

Cardi shared a post before filing for divorce where she said she is done wasting her time. The post, that she shared with her 75.5 million Instagram followers, read: “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time.” She also wrote in her caption, it is time.

Offset Cheated The Entire Time -Sources

According to online court records, the “WAP” rapper has filed for divorce at Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, on Tuesday. Cardi is said to have said that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for reconciliation.” This comes after the Money rapper found out that Offset had been unfaithful, yet again.

The couple shares a 2-year-old daughter together named Kulture Kiari, while Offset also has three other children from previous relationships. According to a source, “Offset has pretty much cheated the entire time they’ve been together. But Cardi looked the other way because of the baby. She also didn’t want to be embarrassed. But she’s had enough.”

It was reported earlier that according to her divorce filing, Cardi is seeking primary physical custody as well as legal custody’ of their little girl, along with child support. She also hopes the divorce “will be settled by agreement of the parties,” and expects the rapper to handle her legal fees as well.

Another source in the knowledge of the situation added, “Cardi does not trust Offset. She’s really tried for the last two years and has tried to forgive him. It’s been hard for her since the last cheating scandal and there have been rumors of him being unfaithful again,” said the insider. Referring to the multiple times the Migos rapper has been accused of infidelity.

“He has been pleading with her that he hasn’t, but many girls have come forward with claims. She has had enough and decided to file,” the source explained, adding that Cardi “wants to be a good example for her daughter and women out there.”

In January 2018, Cardi outwardly confirmed that Offset was at the center of a sex tape cheating scandal involving another woman, after a video of the same surfaced in December 2017.

At the time Cardi wrote, “No, it’s not right for a n**** to cheat. But what do you want me to do? Go f*** me another n****? Start all over again and get cheated on again? This s*** happens to everyone. People handle their relationships differently.” Despite trying times, the couple really struggled but reconciled in 2018 and Cardi made sure to make her relationship a top priority.
