Jason Momoa Slams Warner Bros. Amid ‘Justice League’ Investigation
Jason Momoa has also voiced out about his experience on the “Justice League” set. The actor reveals him including Jay Fisher and other castmates were treated in a “sh–ty way”.
The Aquaman alum showed his support to Jay on September 8. Jay had accused director Joss Whedon and producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg of abusive and unprofessional behavior. He claims this happened while filming the ‘Justice League’.
Jason was one of the first people to show some support to Jay. He posted on Instagram with the hashtag #ISupportJayFisher. However, the actor opened up about his own experience on the set of Justice League on Monday.
The actor took to his social media and called out for proper investigation to happen. Jason wrote, “This s— has to stop and needs to be looked at @ray8fisher and everyone else who experienced what [happened] under the watch of @wbpictures needs proper investigation.”
The Game of Thrones alum also addressed the fake news doing the rounds about him voicing in a movie producer by Berg and Johns. He said the news about him voicing Frosty The Snowman was fake news. The actor claimed that the fake news was released to stir away from the allegations made by Fisher.
Jay accused Whedon and Warner Bros, for the first time on July 1 by posting about it. An hour later, the news about Jason giving his voice to a film produced by the same was released.
Jason further wrote, “I just think it’s f—ed up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the s—ty way we were treated on ‘Justice League’ reshoots. Serious stuff went down. It needs to be investigated and people need to be held accountable.”
Representatives of both Jason and Warner Bros did not respond immediately. However, Jay said that investigators at Warner Bros have conveniently avoided contacting key witnesses who gave damning statements to WB HR. He added that they have started interviewing with (and have since ghosted) witnesses that have implicated former and current top-level executives.
Jay has also revealed that one of the “implicated individuals” has come forward and apologized to him. Warner Bros.’ “Justice League” investigation began in late August. After a while, the company claimed that Fisher did not meet with the third-party investigator that was hired. However, the actor fired back and opposed Warner Bros.’ claim, providing a screenshot of an email he sent to his team and SAG-AFTRA in which he claimed he had met with the investigator over Zoom.
