K-Drama Series Chicago Typewriter Set To Leave Netflix In October 2021
The famous Korean series from TvN titled ‘Chicago Typewriter’ will be leaving Netflix next month.
Chicago Typewriter is written by Su-wan Jin and directed by Cheol-gyu Kim and Sang-woo Kim.
What Is The K-Drama About?
The Storyline of the K-Drama revolves around the time when the Japanese occupied the majority of Korea.
It shows three resistance fighters in 1930s who are brought back to life in modern-day by a seemingly magical typewriter.
Cast members of the show include Yoo Ah-in, Go Kyung-Pyo, Lim Soo-jung and Mi-seon Jeon.
Chicago Typewriter is a “mixed package of relationships and emotions, comedy and melodrama” that originally aired on TvN in 2017.
Leaving From All Netflix Regions
The show later arrived on Netflix under an expansive output agreement of Netflix with the network and the studio behind the show, Studio Dragon.
Under the deal some of the best performing names of the TvN Network saw their move to Netflix such as Crash Landing on You, Hospital Playlist, and Reply 1988.
Netflix held the global rights of Chicago Typewriter since late 2019 but now all the sixteen episodes of the show are schedule to be removed on October 1, 2021.
The removal of the K-Drama will be seen in all Netflix regions where the K-Drama is running including United States, Latin America, Australia, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Other than Chicago Typewriter: the rime thriller series Tunnel from 2017 will will also depart as will Reply 1988 and Reply 1994, Bad Guys, Let’s Eat and Oh My Ghost.
