Jake Paul Says He Will Fight Tommy Fury Next
In a recent podcast appearance, Jake Paul reveals that Tommy Fury is at the top of the list of people he wants to fight. The influencer’s trainer BJ Flores had said that he has “signed off” on a fight with Tommy Fury.
As per reports, the fight could take place at the end of the year. The Youtuber had defeated Tyron Woodley. He also had a heated argument with the former Love Island finalist backstage as they both had won that night. Tommy defeated MMA veteran Anthony Taylor on the undercard.
But he seems to have done enough to get Jake Paul’s attention. Both of them are successful in their careers as Paul is now 4-0 and Tommy is 7-0. There have already been reports about a fight taking place between the two in December. They both are on the second of multiple-fight broadcasting deals with Showtime Boxing in the US. There had been no confirmation about the fight between the two.
But as per Jake, Tommy is his next target and reportedly the goal is to do it before the end of the year. Jake’s trainer has revealed that he urged the Youtuber to take the fight. He also revealed they are in talks with Tommy for some time. BJ Flores added, “He’s a good looking kid, very charismatic, the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson, he comes from that Gypsy background and he’s very tough.”
Flores said he is going to be tough even if he does not have all of the amateur credentials like Tyson. “Showtime’s interested in that fight, I believe,” he continued. “I’m not going to say that it’s for sure the next fight that’s happening but I’ve signed off on that.”
