Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Trailer Reveals February 2022 Release
The Stark Trek: Picard season 2 will now officially be premiering in February 2022. This is a follow-up series in the franchise Star Trek: The Next Generation. The show revolves around Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard as he navigates old age in the Star Trek universe.
The first season of the series had premiered back in 2020. However, it was not loved by fans as much but it was enough to bring in the second season. It has been revealed previously that for season 2, Picard will be paired with his old nemesis, Q. The latter is a trickster entity and not different from Loki in the MCU. Although Q has helped the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, he can never be trusted.
The character cannot resist making fun of Picard even in the direst of situations. As per the trailer for season 2, Q is having a lot of fun. Paramount+ had released the new trailer at today’s live-streamed Star Trek Day global event. But the trailer revealed more than just its premiere being on February 2022.
It was revealed that the show will have a third season. The trailer gave viewers a much closer look at Picard and Q’s relationship, the first look at Annie Wersching’s Borg Queen. It also revealed the danger the future holds. From the trailer, it is apparent that retirement will not come easy to Picard.
The second season will also see Alison Phil, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady, and Brent Spiner. Star Trek: Picard is surely trying to regain the audience after the first season. But it seems like they will be playing their cards wisely.
