
Firefly Lane To Begin Filming For Season 2 – Here’s All You Need To Know
Netflix officially renewed Firefly Lane for season 2 in May of 2021.
It is now being learnt that the famous series will soon commence filming in Vancouver, Canada.
Based On A Novel
Firefly Lane is based on a novel by US writer Kristin Hannah. The novel also has a sequel by the name of ‘Fly Away’.
While Season 1 of Firefly Lane did not cover the entire first part of the novel itself, it is certain that we will see much more context in the upcoming season 2.
Official Renewal
Leading entertainment tabloids have revealed that Michael Spiller from Modern Family and Scrubs ‘might’ be direction Firefly Lane season 2.
The news of season 2 renewal was announced by Katherine Heigel and Sarah Chalke on YouTube in a Q and A video.
Storyline And Filming
If you’re not aware about the storyline of Firefly Lane, it revolves around two best friends, and the obstacles they face in their lives and their friendship.
In season 2, the audience will mostnprobably get to witness what happens next with Tully’s career, including if she ever offers Kate that job.
The series will begin filming from 30th August, 2021 (as per WhatsonNetflix). Some other entertainment tabloids have reported filming to start in September.
When Will Firefly Lane Season 2 Release?
So far, there is no official release date announced or even decided by Netflix.
However, one thing is certain. Firefly Lane season 2 will release in 2022. It was confirmed by actress Katherine Heigl on Twitter as well.
