IPL : All Time Records
Cricket is a sport where accomplishments are cherished and kept a record of. Speaking of records, many things fascinate people in cricket. It might be the beautiful cover drive of Virat Kohli, the lazy pull of Rohit Sharma, the 360° shots of marvellous AB de Villers, the helicopter shot of Dhoni or simple the many creative shots of youngsters. We get to witness all these shots in IPL and that makes IPL the toughest, biggest and most entertaining tournament of cricket on the planet. Other than the visuals of cricket, records broken and made also fascinate people.
Records that stand the test of time gain the utmost respect. Many records are broken, made, created and again broken in every single match of IPL. It’s what keeps the sport so lively and exciting even after 14 seasons of its inception.
In this article, we will share with you the stats of record holders, who, with their consistency and skills, have been able to stay at the top of the charts. Here are the all-time records of IPL:

Was there ever any doubt, any surprise about the No.1 spot?
Virat Kohli is the leading run-scorer of all time in IPL. He is also the first and only batsman to cross the milestone of 6000 Runs.
Shikhar Dhawan is second on the list, but he is first on another list. Can you guess that list? Want a hint? Sure, this list is of players who have the skill of finding gaps on the field. You guessed it right, the most number of fours.
Suresh Raina, who missed the IPL 2020 season, has impressive stats to his name. Also, these stats don’t cover the fact that he won the IPL trophy with CSK three times.
Rohit Sharma, fourth on the list, lives up to this nickname of “Hitman”.He has the most number of sixes to his name in the top five. And let’s face it, what matters most? Individual accomplishments or team winning trophies? Yeah, obviously the latter. Rohit has five IPL trophies to his name.
David Warner, fifth on the list, hasn’t even played 150 matches. He has the best average among all the batsmen of IPL with 42.22.

Salinga Malinga tops the list of most wickets of all time with 170. Malinga has officially retired from franchise cricket, that is IPL, so Amit Mishra, who is just 4 wickets away, might get to the top.
Also, Malinga has played just 122 matches as opposed to his competitors who have played at least 140 matches.
Piyush Chawla is third on the list. Chawla surely ranks highest among all the leg spinners to have played IPL.
DJ Bravo, with his skill of picking wickets when required, is fourth on the list. Let me remind you, Bravo is an all-rounder and not primarily a bowler. This makes his feat even more extraordinary.
Harbhajan Singh sits fifth on the list with 150 wickets to his name. Bhajji contributes to the team with the bat as well. Also, Bhajji has won the trophy with both MI and CSK.
