Thriller Miniseries ‘The Five’ Set To Depart From Netflix In September 2021

British mystery thriller series The Five was first broadcasted on TV network Sky1 in the year 2016. After a successful run and eventually coming to Netflix, it has now announced plans to bid goodbye.

The Five is written by Danny Brocklehurst and is created by the famous crime author Harlan Coben.

Date When ‘The Five’ Leaves Netflix

Currently the show runs in United States and Canada. Both these regions will no longer broadcast ‘The Five’ starting from next month, September 15th.

The creator of the show Harlan Coben is now involved in many other projects with Netflix but it remains to be seen if The Five is the only project of Coben that will bid goodbye to the platform. The Five had a follow-up series planned but it never worked out.

What Is The Show About?

“When they were twelve years old, Mark, Pru, Danny and Slade were out together in the woods. Mark’s five year old brother Jesse was bothering them. They told him to get lost. Jesse ran away. He was gone. Never seen again. Twenty years later, Danny – now a detective – learns some shocking news. Jesse’s DNA has been found at a murder scene. He is alive and out there. Somewhere.”

Netflix US And Canada

The Five arrived on Netflix US and Canada in 2017 on 15th September. It has been four since since its running on the platform and Netflix feels that it is the right time to call it off.

The Five will not be available anywhere else (as far as current reports are concerned). Fans have only two options: either they have to seek out a boxset or video-on-demand options.
