Keanu Reeves makes his comic book debut with BRZRKR
Keanu Reeves has finally entered the world of comics. His fans were eagerly waiting for him to enter the comic world after movies and video games.
The actor wrote his very first comic book, Boom Studios, BRZRKR. He collaborated with co-writer, Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti. Keanu’s team also included colorist Bill Crabtree, and letterer Clem Robins.
The lead character of his comic book looks just like him. This character is known as Bezerker. He is half-mortal, half-god. With time, he has been forced towards violence. In the modern world currently, he is working for the U.S. government to combat the battles too dangerous for anyone else.

Bezerker will be granted the ultimate truth about his existence including how to end it. Print versions of BRZRKR #1, featuring cover art by Rafael Grampá (Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child), will be distributed in local comic shops this October.
Keanu revealed in a statement that he loved comic books since he was a kid. He says it has been a notable impact on him artistically. The actor expresses his gratitude by saying he is lucky to have had a chance to work with legends.
“To have the chance to create BRZRKR and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, color artist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins, and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá — along with the great folks at Boom Studios — is a dream come true,” Keanu said.
Keanu has starred in movies like Bill & Ted Face the Music. He also has contributed his vocals for a voice role in Toy Story 4. Reeves also taped a performance for the forthcoming game Cyberpunk 2077, set for release this November.
Keanu said that the best collaborations have everyone bringing something unique to the table. He explained that with his comic book BRZRKR, they mixed everything they love. The actor described the mixture as “the tale of an immortal warrior laced with history, conspiracies, spirituality. And a gigantic helping of bonkers action and violence — all with intense purpose and ultimately a heartbreaking discovery.”

A virtual panel will be held for Comic-Con@Home to preview more on July 26 at 11 a.m. PT.
Keanu had auctioned off a 15-minute Zoom call. It was to benefit kids with cancer. The bidding had already touched $16,400 initially. It closed on June 22. The money raised will go toward Camp Rainbow Gold. It is a nonprofit striving to “provide emotionally empowering experiences to Idaho’s children diagnosed with cancer and their families.”
