Independence Celebration : The Indian Cricket Team Hoisted The Flag In London And Sung The National Song
Today is India’s 75th Independence Day, which is being celebrated by Indians all across the world (August 15). India gained independence from British domination on August 15, 1947. The Indian cricketers in England joined in the celebrations and hoisted the national flag in the team hotel as the country celebrated Independence Day.
The BCCI posted a video of Virat Kohli, the captain, and Ravi Shastri, the head coach, waving the national flag in the team hotel. The National Anthem was also sung by Team India members. While on international tours, Indian cricketers spend the majority of their time away from home and frequently celebrate the national festival.

In front of all of the players, Indian captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri raised the tricolour. After that, the players chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and sung the national song.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised all the players from the Tokyo Olympics who were present at the Red Fort earlier this morning after hoisting the tricolour.
When it comes to the Indian cricket squad, it has been in the United Kingdom since June. During this time, the team competed in the World Test Championship final, losing by eight wickets to New Zealand. The Indian team has now played England in a five-match Test series, with the first match ending in a tie.
