Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s mom, Soni Razdan slams Instagram for their policies on trolls

Alia Bhatt’s sister Shaheen Bhatt had shared yesterday how they have been getting rape and death threats since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput!

Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide had caused a stir in the nation. While it was reported that he was suffering from depression, people have been blaming the industry for not welcoming the outsiders. One of the stars who has been trolled badly is the actress Alia Bhatt.

Her sister Shaheen Bhatt had yesterday shared on her Instagram stories the screenshots of a few of rape and death threats that she has been receiving. She even stated that she will be taking legal action against all such people.

Now the young women’s mother Soni Razdan has lashed out at Instagram for their policies on trolls and abuses. She has shared a long note on her page stating how the platform has left it on the users to protect themselves.

Along with the statement, Soni wrote in the caption, “I do hope you’re reading this and taking some note of it. Because it really gets to the root of the issue. So easy na to let the abusers off the hook. To let yourself off the hook. To let the onus fall on the abused to take action to protect themselves. It’s basically and fundamentally ALL WRONG.”

She added on saying that it’s high time that we should stop the source of all such abuses. “And the stinking abusers get their just desserts. Social media has for too long now become the most antisocial media mainly because those running the platforms are not doing enough to prevent abuse,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has her film Sadak 2 releasing soon on Disney+ Hotstar. However, she has received a lot of flak during her film announcement as well.
