Wolverine played by Hugh started the meeting off by asking if anyone can believe they have completed 20 years of the X-men movie. “It’s kind of surreal guys, can you believe it’s been 20 years since the first ‘X-Men’ movie?” Hugh asked.
All the three cast members present at the meeting including Jackman, all starred in the X-men movie. Berry played Storm while Stewart and Janssen played Professor X and Jean Grey respectively. The three movies were released in 2000, 2003 and 2006.
The cast came together for Global Citizen’s Global Goal: Unite for Our Future on June 27. It celebrated the heroic and everyday superheroes of our daily lives especially amid the pandemic: the health care workers.
Deadpool crashed the reunion while Jackman explained why they were having a meeting. “The cast and I were just reminiscing about the movie that we were all in together,” he said.
Ryan reminded Hugh that he is also a part of the X-men origins movie with him. The actor then brought in Sophie Turner and James McAvoy into the meeting. Sophie and James play the younger versions of their character Jean and Professor. They recently were a part of the lastest movie X-men: Dark Phoenix.”
Sophie Turner who played Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones jokingly said that she thought it was a Game of Thrones reunion. “I actually thought that this was a ‘Game of Thrones‘ reunion.”
All the stars left the meeting one after the other making excuses. In the end, Hugh and Ryan were the only castmates left. Ryan asks Hugh if he knows what reunion this is. The actor who played Sabretooth, Liev Schrieber, in X-men: Origins joined the chat to answer Ryan’s question. He said, “‘X-Men: Origins,’ reunite! Yeah.”
