Twitch Streamer xQc Under Trouble For Streaming Kanye West’s Album Donda?
Twitch streaming is wildly popular and many a time streamers land in trouble for playing tracks and albums on their stream without permission from the creator.
The DMCA can ban the Twitch channel of the streamer who is found violating the policies of the platform.
This has forced many Twitch streamers to shift to non-copyright LoFi beats instead of playing any song they like earlier.
Asking Permission To Kanye West
Recently one of the biggest streamers of the platform xQc took to his Twitter handle and tagged Kanye West in a tweet asking for permission from the rapper to stream his song on Twitch.
xQc wrote in the tweet “I love the music and I want to share your art with my community on Twitch. Can I watch/react to the Donda event live on stream?” Have a look below

Will He Be Banned?
However, it is not a surprise that Kanye did not reply to the request. The streamer went on to play the Donda album to his Twitch community and later deleted the VOD. But this doesn’t make him any safe from a ban on his channel.
The DCMA has all the authority to ban his Twitch channel on grounds of policy violation. What happens next is yet to be seen. In July, xQc has already been hit with a DMCA ban for rebroadcasting the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Similar Incidents
In the past many streamers have asked permission from singers to stream their songs to prevent a DCMA ban. Just recently in June last year, a twitch streamer by the name of Train Wrecks tagged 21 Savage in a tweet to ask permission.
21 Savage allowed Trainwrecks to stream his songs and DCMA in such a case has no say if the streamer has authorized permission.
