Sushant Singh Rajput – Rise To Fame
Coming from the state of Bihar, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput had gained name and fame with his work in the entertainment industry!
Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide had left everyone in shock. The actor was a very established name in the entertainment industry. And this sudden decision is something that nobody expected him to take.
He could have a great career in the field of engineering but he chose this industry because of his love for acting and cinema. For those who don’t know, SSR was All India Rank 7 in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). Sushant was a student of the Delhi Technological Institute (DTU). But he dropped the idea of engineering in the third year of his degree. He later joined Nadira Babbar’s theatre group Ekjute where he performed in plays for two and a half years.
Balaji Telefilms Invitation
His hard work and passion for acting were recognized and he got an invite from Balaji Telefilms in the year 2008. He bagged a supporting role in the serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. Although his role was ended early in the show, he came back for the finale episode on public demand.
Sushant’s next show is something that gained him all the popularity he needed. He shot to fame with his role of Manav in the daily soap Pavitra Rishta. After the actor’s demise, Ekta Kapoor revealed in her post that the channel did not want him to play the part. But and her team convinced them saying ‘his smile would win a million hearts’. And we think that it surely did!
Entry In Bollywood
After working in the television industry for several years, he decided to move to the Bollywood industry and made his debut with the film Kai Po Che in the year 2013. While the film received critical acclaim, he was much appreciated for his performance.
The actor both had hits and misses in his filmy career. But he always said that he is not affected by the box officie numbers and people’s opinions. Sushant once said in an interview that he is a very selfish actor as he always tries to focus on himself while playing a part.
Box office blockbusters like PK and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story established him in the industry. And made him a part of the league of the successful actors. He had also signed a number of films after the success of the biopic. However, due to different reasons, many of those films could not go on the floors.
But Sushant was always high spirited and went on to give films like Chhichhore and Kedarnath. He was last seen in the film Drive which released on Netflix. The actor still has an unreleased film – Dil Bechara which is based on John Green’s novel The Fault In Our Stars.
We will always remember Sushant Singh Rajput as someone who rose to fame with his sheer talent. With no contacts in the industry, the actor made a place for himself with his hard work and remarkable performances.
