Cara Delevingne X Puma to drop capsule collection honouring Pride month
Cara Delevingne is all set to unveil her new capsule collection, From Puma with Love, in an exciting collaboration with Puma. The popular actor and model is a well known LGBTQIA advocate and has chosen this 13-piece capsule collection to celebrate Pride Month.
The collection perfectly encapsulates Athleisure but with rainbow accents. Cara Delevingne’s tribute to the Pride month speaks loud and clear through her clothing. The lineup boasts of comfortable sweatshirts and tees in pops of bright colours. The collection seems to have the perfect mix of brightly coloured lounge wear and complimentary accessories. Graphic printed tees, comfy sweatshirts, the brand’s famous feline logo in multi-colour hues, cross body bags, and sporty ombre sandals are some of the standout features.
The rainbow theme seems to be prevalent without it being too in your face. Cara Delevingne’s collection seems perfect if you wish to experiment with your wardrobe. It’s pieces are not only comfortable with simple silhouettes but they also come in fun colour compositions.
“Obviously there are vibrant colours, but we wanted to do something different that wasn’t so obvious,” says Cara Delevingne. “The pieces are unisex and fun, but they’re things people can wear every day, not just during Pride month. I love the sandals, right now it’s just so easy and lovely to wear something you can slip on,” she says. “I’ve been wearing [the collection] a lot because it’s all so comfortable—especially for workouts.”
Pride is not just a concept, it’s a way of life
The best part about the collaboration is that 20% of the proceeds will go to charities like The Trevor Project, Mind Out, and GLAAD. “The LGBTQIA community has always been so important to me. This [collaboration] just made sense, you know?” she says. “I’ve been so lucky with Puma, in everything we’ve ever discussed, they’ve always been open to new ideas and my perspective.”
This isn’t the model’s first time working the popular sports brand. Cara Delevingne has been a Puma ambassador since 2016. She previously worked with the brand on drops including last year’s PUMA x Balmain collection. Puma and Balmain teamed up with Delevingne to launch an exuberant unisex collection of prêt-à-porter and accessories inspired by the world of boxing.
Cara Delevingne hopes to use her platform for good, she explains, “Now is the time to celebrate mental health and kindness, not just for our communities, but towards ourselves. Pride is not just a concept, it’s a way of life.”
You can shop the majority of the collection on Puma’s official website from June 1.
