The reign continues.
Toxic Attraction attempted to participate in the match but was relegated to the sidelines by the referee. The major roster member of Stark’s tag team, Nikkita Lyons, appeared to dislodge Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. As a result, Rose was left alone in the ring with Stark, where she continued to work on her knee before finally killing her with a knee to the face.
Zoey Stark attempted to knee Mandy Rose early in the match with the nine months’ worth of pent-up wrath remaining inside her, but Rose swiftly rolled outside the ring to collect her breath. Stark’s rehabilitated knee was slammed into the side of the announce table by Rose after she caught her and threw her flying over it.
Stark endured the discomfort as Rose continued to hit her knee. Stark attempted to fight back, but Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin tripped her up, forcing the referee to expel the two from the audience. Nikkita Lyons came down the ramp at the entrance and threw hands with Jayne & Dolin as the trio brawled into the backstage area in retaliation for her tag team teammate.
Stark battled Rose on one leg when the action resumed in the ring and connected with a huge knee, but she lacked the strength to cover Rose, who cleverly slid out of the ring. Rose tagged Stark with her running knee for a two-count after hanging Stark up in the ropes. Rose delivered another vicious running knee to keep Stark down for the 1-2-3 as she was stunned and furiously yanked Stark’s knee brace off her leg.
Why Rose kept the title?
It was a surprise for many as Stark was supposed to win the match after her comeback and winning the Battle Royal to be become the number one contender. You can checkout the cover of that story over here.
Also the hype building up to this match was absolutely on path for many fans to anticipate a change in the NXT with Stark becoming the champion. Here is the article of Zoey Stark’s buildup to her match against Rose.
A recent rumor/report claims that Rose’s decision to retain the belt on her was truly made at the final minute.
But now recent news from an unknown source revealed something else.
The Twitter account stated that “apparently last night’s shift in retaining the title on Mandy is a combo of not wanting too many call-ups at once.”
The account ended, “[Therefore] maintaining some star power on the NXT shows, and watching fans say they did not want Zoey as champ on social media #WWENXT.”
Mandy Rose Speculation
It’s important to note that while we are unable to confirm the report’s veracity at this time, this rumor from is just a rumor.
Could it be that this is the case? It makes sense to cease making so many calls at once, but there’s no chance we’ll find out in the near future.
Although Mandy appears to be staying in Florida for the time being, I still anticipate Toxic Attraction to be called up soon.
Stark will join Lyons on Friday Night SmackDown this week to compete in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament.
