Zoe Saldana Says She Feels “Stuck” Doing Franchise Films

Zoe Saldana is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood who has worked in several big films and TV shows. She has also been a part of some of the big franchises in the industry. For a decade, Zoe has been involved in all these big films which haven’t given her time to explore something new. In a recent interview, the Avatar actress reflected on how she felt stuck but she is also grateful to have such great opportunities.

In a conversation with Women’s Wear Daily, Zoe Saldana opened up about how she felt stuck for ten years by doing these franchises. The actress is grateful for these opportunities that knock on her door. But speaking artistically she feels restricted in her artistic growth as she is not able to expand or challenge herself for various other genres.

Zoe Saldana has worked with Avatar, Marvel, and Star Trek-like big franchises. She played the role of Gamora in the MCU. Also, she will be returning back in May with the last sequel of The Guardians of the Galaxy. In the Avatar sequels, she plays the role of Neytiri. Avatar: The way of Water is all set to release on December 16. Speaking of Star Trek, she portrays the role of Lieutenant Uhura in the film.

As Zoe said above that she wanted to do something new other than franchise films. She will also be starring in an upcoming series named “Lioness”. In this series, she will be playing a completely unique role like never before. As she will be playing the Lioness program’s station chief. The actress is very happy to be a part of the series, as she wanted to take on the challenge of the new role. In one of the interviews, she says, ” I gave it my all and it feels good.”
