Zendaya Shuts Down Trolls Calling Tom Holland ‘Short’ Comparing Them To Her Folks

Zendaya has been dominating the news and social media trends in recent weeks as the hype surrounding her new film, ‘Spiderman: No Way Home,’ has reached a fever pitch. The 25-year-old actress stunned fans by arriving at promotional events and the premiere arm in arm with her on-screen and real-life partner Tom Holland.

Her newest Instagram post dedicated to Tom Holland, in which she referred to him as ‘My Spider-Man,’ sparked outrage on Twitter. “My Spider-Man, I’m so proud of you, some things never change and good thing♥️,” she captioned a photo of Tom Holland as Spider-Man from his youth.

In the meantime, Zendaya’s admirers are wondering as to how her family views her budding romance with the British actor. The ‘Euphoria’ star recently broke many hearts when she linked her and Holland’s height differences to those of her parents, thus shutting down trolls who mocked Holland ‘short’. Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu, on the other hand, have yet to remark on her connection.

Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, better known by her stage name Zendaya, was born to Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman on September 1, 1996. They both work as teachers in Oakland, California, and Zendaya is their only child together. They do, however, have five more children from other marriages, with whom Zendaya appears to be close. Her father is African-American and was born and raised in Arkansas; whilst her mother is white and has German and Scottish ancestors.

Spider-Man Actress’ Parents Were Once Called ‘Ugly’

Zendaya’s parents married when she was 12 years old, in 2008, but their love wasn’t intended to endure forever. After eight years of marriage, the pair split in 2016 due to “irreconcilable differences”. Despite the fact that the specific cause for their breakup has not been revealed; the former couple appears to be on good terms and are frequently seen together.

Claire and Kazembe are obviously incredibly proud of their Hollywood superstar daughter, as evidenced by their social media posts. Furthermore, her father Kazembe is also her manager, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that he is responsible for reinventing the ‘Dadager’ role. He is not just extremely protective of his daughter/client, but he is also the coolest father on the planet.

Zendaya’s mother, Claire, owns a local jewellery line, and her daughter is the brand’s strongest supporter. The mother-daughter relationship is extremely tight, and the ‘Malcolm and Marie’ actress frequently discusses how her mother’s strong personality empowers and inspires her on a daily basis.

“My beauty icons are the women in my life. My mom didn’t wear makeup; I don’t think she knew that to me, it was empowering that she didn’t care,” Zendaya said Vanity Fair once. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Zendaya said, “I’m really lucky to have the parents I have. They just have always instilled in me those core values that I think I have to carry with me through everything; you know what I mean? For me, there are a lot more upsides than there are downsides [to living at home]. Me and my parents, I feel like we’ve set boundaries, we have territories. Once I hit 18, I was like, ‘Guys, you know I just need you to give me a little space.”

Few fans will forget the shocking 2015 event in which Zendaya’s parents were subjected to internet abuse, with netizens labelling them as “ugly”. A user tweeted a photo of Zendaya with her parents with the remark, “They made a gorgeous a** child lol”. This sparked outrage. Sick trolls wasted no time degrading and mocking the proud parents.

“While you’re so concerned about what my parents look like; please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world,” Zendaya; who was 19 at the time, said to the trolls. “They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things; such as looks and insulting people’s parents on Twitter; but instead became educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow mind.”
