WWE WrestleMania 38 Plan Is Cancelled, According to Triple H

In an interview, Paul Triple H Levesque admitted that his wrestling days are over due to the defibrillator in his chest, but he revealed that an idea to have him as an active figure in WrestleMania 38 was raised back in April. He recalled, I was going to do something with Gable Stevenson and try to get him launched and going. I was like, Okay, when they told me.

He also revealed that Vince McMahon approached him about being a part of WrestleMania, telling him, I need the attraction, you can do what you desire. However, Levesque’s wife, Stephanie McMahon, has been less enthusiastic about his involvement in WrestleMania 38, and plans to have him in front of the viewer with Stevenson never progressed beyond the concept stage. Nevertheless, Levesque was upbeat about no longer being in the spotlight.

He said, Man, I rode it until the wheels fell off. I’m finished, and I’m good. I accomplished everything I set out to do and then some. Levesque also stated that he gets a paternal vibe from watching today’s WWE talent roster in the ring. I’ll understand what they’re going through, he said. I’m going to tell you how we got them there and how we gave them that platform to do what they do, succeed at it, and live their dream. It’s similar to watching my children succeed at something they’ve always wanted to do; the level of enthusiasm and pride in that is the same for me.

Paul Triple H Levesque mockingly applauded AEW

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Triple H Levesque mockingly applauded AEW for defeating WWE’s developmental system during the so-called Wednesday Night Wars in a recent interview. Of course, WWE referred to NXT as a third brand on multiple occasions at the time, even having NXT compete in and overpower the cross-brand Survivor Series event in 2019, along with one of AEW’s biggest stars, Chris Jericho, did not participate graciously to what he observes as Levesque’s revisionist history.

It’s just shifting the narrative and history, that makes me laugh, said Jericho during an interview. Because it was 3rd brand when it first started, and it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and all of the other nonsense they said. NXT stinks, Jericho stated emphatically. It’s a terrible show. They are aware… They were most likely punished. That’s most likely why Triple H said all those things: he’s mad that we beat them, and he’s probably angry that we exist. The Wednesday Night Wars began on October 2, 2019, when AEW aired its first episode of AEW Dynamite.

NXT, which had been promoted to a two-hour Wednesday night USA Network show on September 18, was also airing weekly episodes at the time. NXT, on the other hand, aired its final Wednesday broadcast on April 7, 2021, before switching to Tuesday nights. Dynamite had good scores for a total of 63 weeks, whereas NXT only had a 10-week lead over Dynamite. Two episodes were tied. We don’t give a damn about WWE, said Jericho. We are concerned with maximizing our fan base and rating. We will continue to survive because, believe me, my boss does have a lot more money than his boss. Much more.
