Becky Lynch

WWE Provides An Update On Becky Lynch’s Recovery Timeline

WWE announced Monday that Becky Lynch will be out of the ring for at least several months. As previously stated, Lynch announced on the 8/1 WWE Raw that she had suffered a separate shoulder injury during her fight against Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at this last Saturday’s SummerSlam premium live event. Lynch hyped ditching her Big Time Becks character in order to reinstate her The Man gimmick upon her come back during the promo.

Despite the fact that Lynch had already written herself off WWE TV by asking Bianca Belair to hold it down following her announcement, the new stable of Bayley, IYO SKY, & Dakota Kai managed to carry out a backstage attack to ostensibly set up a feud for Lynch’s come back. Lynch has promised to take vengeance on Bayley and company when she comes back to WWE, as seen in the twitter post below.

At this time, it is unknown whether Lynch will have surgery to repair her separate shoulder or will seek alternative remedies/treatment. According to reports, Lynch has a 50/50 chance of undergoing surgery. Lynch’s injury was detailed further in the report, which stated that she detached her shoulder very slightly earlier in her fight against Belair last Saturday. The injury appears to have occurred after Belair delivered the Grand Slam to Lynch, prompting Lynch to roll out of the ring to reposition her shoulder.

Lynch would continue working in pain for the next 16 minutes of the match, as she noted in her promo section on Monday. With Becky Lynch out, it appears that Bayley, IYO SKY, or Dakota Kai will challenge Belair for the Raw Women’s title at the forthcoming Clash at the Castle premium live match.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey

Is WWE classifying Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey as internal heels? Lynch’s turn at Summerslam has become official, according to reports, as she is officially listed as the Raw roster’s #2 babyface behind Bianca Belair. Throughout Summerslam, Lynch made a triumphant return to the good side. Lynch shook hands with Bianca Belair after her match before Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky returned to target Belair.

Lynch planned to stand next to the current Raw Women’s Champion & fight her, and yet Bayley, Kai, and Sky intervened. During the August 1 episode of Raw, she would fully turn face after cutting a promo in which she returned to her gimmick as The Man and showed her respect for Belair once more. According to WWE’s social media, Lynch is currently out with a separate shoulder injury suffered at the pay-per-view and will be out for several months.
