WWE Has Signed A Top Bellator Fighter

Valerie Masterm follows the footsteps of Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and other MMA athletes-turned-professional wrestlers. Loureda has joined WWE. Loureda, a 23-year-old MMA fighter with a 4-1 record, is scheduled to arrive at the WWE Performance Center on July 19th. Loureda was initially skeptical, but her agent persuaded her to attend this year’s WrestleMania, and she immediately fell in love with the elaborate spectacle, contrasting it to the Super Bowl.

Loureda stated that seeing WWE for the first time gave her the same goosebumps as seeing MMA for the first time. Loureda had a WWE tryout in April and early May, and she called her manager in tears, saying she won’t be leaving. Loureda told her manager, “I just want to get better.” She didn’t want to waste out on any training. Loureda hopes to make it to WWE NXT by the close of the year. WWE officials praised Loureda, describing her as a high-ceiling talent.” WWE’s involvement in the star was first reported earlier this month.

As per Bellator president Scott Coker, the Taekwondo fighter will remain under contract with the promotion because the promotion believes she has the potential to become an important MMA star. Coker stated in a statement that she will persist an active and under agreement fighter with Bellator, and that she hopes to return to the cage in the coming years. We take immense pleasure in allowing our athletes to compete in other sports such as boxing and pro wrestling.

Loureda made her pro MMA debut in 2019 as a member of American Top Team, the MMA team founded by AEW’s Dan Lambert. Loureda last competed for Bellator on November 12th of last year, winning a split decision over Taylor Turner.

WWE SummerSlam’s main event has been announced. Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE programming on the 6/17 episode of WWE SmackDown and attacked Roman Reigns following the latter’s vigorous defense of the Indisputable WWE Universal Championship against Riddle.

Following the conclusion of the episode, WWE declared that Reigns will protect his titles against Lesnar in the main show of this year’s SummerSlam premium live event on July 30 in a Last Man Standing match. This past April, Reigns defeated Lesnar in the main show of night two of WrestleMania 38, a match in which both Reigns’ Universal Title as well as Lesnar’s WWE Title were unified.

The Head of The Table and The Beast Incarnate have faced off 8 times, along with five singles titles, two triple threat matches, and one fatal four-way match. Lesnar upheld the WWE Title against Reigns in their first match at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, but Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and famously walked out of the event with the WWE Championship.
