Wiz Khalifa Reveals He’s Free of COVID-19 Following Positive Test

Wiz Khalifa has revealed that he tested negative for COVID-19 after contracting the virus last week.

The rapper had informed his fans back on July 14 that he had contracted coronavirus. He took to his social media handle and revealed, “Okay loved ones….sooo…..Ya boy got covid. No symptoms. Just stay away from me for a lil while.” He added that while he is in the house, he will be giving his fans new content, plan raves, prepare his new project.

Wiz Khalifa had updated his fans about his condition as he revealed that he is now free of the virus entirely. “My most recent test came back negative so I’m free of COVID,” he revealed on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the rapper has been confirmed to play Parliament leader George Clinton in a new Casablanca Records biopic. According to Deadline, Spinning Gold is currently in production. It is a movie about Casablanca Records chief Neil Bogart. The movie will be revolving around the rise of Bogart’s Buddah and Casablanca labels during the 1960s and 1970s.

Spinning Gold has been in development for over a decade. Justin Timberlake was in talks to play Bogart as far back as 2011. The director of the movie, Scott Bogart had revealed that it is a movie about a group of people who lived fairytale long back. He said, “Spinning Gold is about a group of people who, once upon a time, lived a fairytale and made their dreams come true, all set to some of the greatest music ever pressed in vinyl. Bringing these dreamers and artists to life has been the privilege of my life.”

Wiz Khalifa has released a 10-year anniversary deluxe version of his debut album, Rolling Papers. The release includes an unreleased version of Hopes & Dreams which features a verse from late Nipsey Hussle.
