Dwayne Johnson

Who Is The New Anoa’i Family’s Dominant Member After Dwayne Johnson?

Cody Rhodes was definitely not WWE’s first pick to face “The Tribal Chief,” despite the fact that he is now showing why he should co-headline WWE WrestleMania 39 alongside Roman Reigns. It seems that Dwayne Johnson just can’t fit his real-life cousin into his 2023 schedule despite years of teasing a blockbuster dream match.

Johnson, to be fair, has a busy schedule. He’s one of the most well-known performers in the world, and movie companies won’t like the thought of letting their treasured assets get hurt by bumps. Relaunching the XFL and repairing the league’s damaged reputation are additional challenges he must overcome.

The Hollywood A-lister will never be the head of the table in the Anoa’i family, though, as long as he keeps avoiding the long-teased match with Reigns. The fact that Reigns has been so successful in the WWE speaks for itself. Johnson’s decision to skip WrestleMania 39 appears to have elevated his cousin to the position of family headstrong.

In Dwayne Johnson’s defence, he never made a commitment to show up at WrestleMania 39, but he has been slowly building up to this encounter. He fueled the suspicions in 2022 by saying he wanted to compete against “one person in particular” in the high-end live event. The Reigns rumors have some merit because the actor’s sitcom “Young Rock,” for instance, recently hinted at a potential WWE Universal Championship match.

Why Johnson turned down a WrestleMania 39 match?

Recent reports claim that Johnson turned down a WrestleMania 39 match because he isn’t in a ring shape. Johnson’s relationship with WWE was discussed by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the company’s chief content officer, who also made a comment about Johnson’s physique in “Black Adam” and addressed the rumours.

Johnson should be commended for working hard to be the best version of himself in preparation for a WrestleMania dream match, but it isn’t the best strategy to tease the match while failing to deliver a significant payoff. While Reigns has been toiling away in the WWE’s main event circuit for more than ten years, he has triumphed over every challenge that has been placed before him.
