What a Perfect Yorker! Video of Natarajan Yorker Bowled Krunal Pandya: SRH v LSG

Lucknow Super Giants vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, 12th Match (N), DY Patil, April 04, 2022, Indian Premier League

Match Result: Super Giants won by 12 runs

Player of the Match: Avesh Khan

Match Report: For four matches in a row, team batting first have successfully defended a target. The story was quite opposite for the matches before them. LSG batted first, and captain KL Rahul led from the front. His fifty was a responsible one, who hit shots along the ground, and went for the aerial route only once. It’s understandable why he adopted such approach, as LSG lost three wickets within the first five overs itself. Manish Pandey went back quickly, another disappointment for him and he hasn’t played a big innings for long time now. Deepak Hooda played the aggressor role, supporting Rahul, and building the innings for the team. Ayush Badoni impressed again. He scored his 19 runs at a quick rate, and he seems to be a promising player. Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers, although Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical.

In reply, SRH got going yet failed short of the target. Every top order and middle-order batter contributed. Still, all of them were too slow and failed to build the inning in the right manner. Tripathi was impressive with his 44, and his strike rate was well above necessary. But Krunal Pandya got the better of him. Nicholas Pooran hit clean strikes, but we can say that there was a common theme to SRH’s batting. Batters set on the crease but no one taking responsibility to take their squad beyond the winning line. Credit must be given to LSG’s bowlers. They struck wickets at regular intervals, and didn’t let a big partnership to form. Avesh Khan struck four wickets, Jason Holder was not far behind with three, and Krunal Pandya bagged two.

KL Rahul: What’s been pleasing is that we have always found a way to stay in the game and give ourselves a chance to win, we did that again today. Not ideal to lose three wickets in the first four overs, it’s not something that’ll bring us down. that’s something we need to learn as a batting group how we can play risk-free cricket. With the ball, we have been brilliant in all three games and that’s something we need to carry ahead. You don’t chat so much in the middle. You don’t want to plan too much as openers. If the wicket is good, both of us go. We have the extra batter with Jason coming in, the plan is put the pressure on the opposition. That’s the body language we want to carry, go out there and look to hit boundaries and sixes. If we end up losing a couple of wickets, we need to assess the conditions quickly.

Kane Williamson: If you look at the performance, was certainly much improved from our first outing. The start with the ball was outstanding. Were in a strong position. If we could just break that next partnership. Credit to Hooda and Rahul. I suppose with the bat there were glimpses. It was close but not close enough. Looked like a good surface. 170 on any day is a challenge .. have to play well.
