Travis Scott To Refund All Astroworld Attendees As He Cancels Show At Day N Vegas
Travis Scott, who was scheduled to perform at the Day N Vegas Festival this weekend, has cancelled his appearance due to the Astroworld tragedy; which claimed the lives of eight people.
On November 13, the Day N Vegas Festival was set to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. At the same time, sources claim that Scott has stated that all guests who purchased Astroworld tickets will receive full refunds.
Day N Vegas, like Astroworld, is an open-to-the-public event. Under typical circumstances, festival attendees are forced to compete for ideal viewing places. Travis Scott was scheduled to perform on the main stage from 10.45 p.m. to 11.45 p.m.
On Friday night, November 5, violence broke out at Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas; killing at least eight people and injuring a number of others. On social media, video footage from the festival has gone viral; showing a surge of people smashing down a gate. People attending the festival are also seen dancing on ambulances in the videos.
According to some witnesses, the rapper interrupted his act multiple times to ask security personnel to assist his followers. Travis Scott is seen in a video posted to social media pushing security officers to assist a fan who fell during the Astroworld performance. The footage shows Scott calling a halt to the event in Houston, Texas, to seek assistance from security after a fan appeared to be in distress.
“Somebody help him, somebody has passed out right here!” Scott is heard telling someone. “Don’t touch him, don’t touch him. Everybody just back up. Security, jump in real quick. Somebody jump in. Come on, come on!”
On the other side, a number of witnesses have stated that Scott did not do enough to assist his injured followers. An old video of Billie Eilish comforting a fan who felt ill at one of her shows has resurfaced amid concerns that Scott could have done more to help his followers.
