Tommy’s Perfect Ending Is Already Teased In Peaky Blinders
The BBC has already teased the finest finish to Tommy’s story in Peaky Blinders in a trailer.
Peaky Blinders follows the same-named powerful British gang during the post-World War I crime boom.
The gang is headed by Thomas Shelby and his family, and the show focuses on the threats made against the family and their gang on a regular basis, as Tommy works to expand his criminal empire while keeping his family together.
Peaky Blinders season 6 got a preview from the BBC on Twitter. Ada tells Tom to take a close look because one of them isn’t going to be there for long in the 10-second video.
Tommy hangs his head, looking worn out, while Ada appears strong. The video suggests that only one of them will live to see the end of Season 6, and there’s reason to believe it won’t be Tommy Shelby.
Given the conclusion of Season 5 of Peaky Blinders, this may be Tommy’s greatest ending. With a gun to his head and his finger on the trigger, viewers last saw Tommy standing in a field, facing down the ghosts of his dead horse and wife.
Tommy continued to remark he needed to sleep throughout the season, as he interacted more and more with his Grace hallucinations, a line rich with metaphorical meaning.
