This Nike Air Force 1 Low Nods To Growing Nail Art Community

By: Christy R Mathew

Much of Nike's early advertising for the Air Force 1 Low focused on building an aviation story around the shoe.

Despite being securely planted on concrete, we've witnessed the sneaker floating in air and in space.

This next release pays homage to that narrative with the "Clouds" version, which features a white and sky blue upper with a patterned Swoosh emblem that mimics the fluffy clouds in the environment.

Aside from the eye-catching colouring (University Blue is back), Nike adds a silver Swoosh charm to the laces, which matches a small Swoosh emblem at the forefoot.

An graphic on the insole plainly references the burgeoning beauty trend/hobby of nail art, which is a suitable compliment given that Nike design director Jessica Washick is a nail artist herself.

The release date for this women's Air Force 1 has not yet been announced, but expect them to reach Nike.com and/or SNKRS shortly.
