This Is Us Creator Says There Are No Plans For Spinoffs

Dan Fogelman, the creator of This Is Us, has stated that there are presently no plans to develop any spinoffs when the programme concludes. NBC’s blockbuster drama series started in 2016, quickly gaining a large fan following and broad critical praise, collecting a total of 38 Emmy Award nominations and one victory over the course of its five seasons.

This Is Us is a family drama that follows the lives of three siblings and their parents, weaving together past and present to create a storey that encompasses all of their experiences, good and bad. Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley appear in the sitcom.

The sixth and final season of This Is Us was revealed in May, completing Fogelman’s initial goal to wrap up the plot in a specified schedule. Season 6 will, according to Moore, resolve questions that fans have been asking for a long time, and Hartley has backed Fogelman’s vision for the finale, expressing his hope that viewers would enjoy it as well.

Many members of the cast have hinted that more surprises are on the way, and with last season’s flash-forward, fans may expect a plot that includes more elements from the characters’ futures.

One of the most pressing concerns among viewers is whether the show will be renewed in any manner, and Variety reports on Fogelman’s thoughts on the subject.

The show’s creator reveals that those discussions with 20th Television have already taken place and that no spinoffs are in the works.

Season 6 feels complete, according to him, and spectators will know everything. Below is the complete remark from Fogelman about the prospect of a This Is Us spinoff:

Once you’ve seen the completion of Season 6, the stories of these characters are told. So there is no real spinoff because you kind of know everything. Is there another play for the show? I guess you’d never say never, but I don’t see it. It’s personal to me, and I don’t see myself picking this thing back up.”
